TARGET WHEY® PROTEIN:

Consuming adequate protein daily and getting the timing of protein intake right around training sessions is critical to facilitate recovery and maximise the development of lean mass and strength. Rapidly-digesting, complete proteins with a high biological value (BV) and high branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) content before and after gym-based exercise training can dramatically enhance the acute growth response within the body during recovery.

Protein requirements: The requirement for protein while participating in regular exercise is between 1.4 and 2.2 g per kg body mass per day depending on your training regimen and your training goals. Muscle proteins are constantly being made and broken down on a daily basis. This is further influenced by metabolic effects when we fast, eat or exercise. By consuming protein at regular intervals throughout the day, and before and after your training sessions, you will help to maintain circulating amino acid levels elevated and thereby may promote muscle protein synthesis (a marker of muscle growth).

For best results depending on your goals and training intensity take 2-3 servings daily (1 serving = 25 g or 1 leveled scoop) in 150 to 200 ml water OR low fat milk: one at breakfast, one immediately before your training and one again immediately after exercise, and follow-up with an appropriate nutrition strategy.
