Glutamine: RecoverAce® Strength contains 5 g of glutamine per single serving. Glutamine may enhance muscular growth and improve the rate of recovery between workouts through its anabolic and anti-catabolic properties.
Carbohydrate: RecoverAce® Strength does not contain sugars like dextrose or glucose. It contains an optimum blend of unique high quality carbohydrates that provide a rapid supply of energy to fatigued muscles in the form of Vitargo®. Glycogen stores are replenished and a sustained supply of energy from Palatinose® is provided to sustained blood glucose over a longer period of time.
Vitargo® is a high molecular weight carbohydrate made of barley starch amylopectin. Vitargo® rapidly supplies carbohydrate to depleted muscle glycogen stores and increases the anabolic hormone insulin post-exercise. Insulin is required for the delivery of essential nutrients into muscle cells and also aids in the adaptation to the exercise stimulus. Vitargo® increases muscle glycogen re-synthesis up to 1.7 times faster than standard carbohydrates in the first two hours post exercise.
Palatinose® is a low GI carbohydrate source that is digested slowly to provide a sustained release of energy to the body after exercise. This avoids large adverse fluctuations in blood glucose and insulin. Rapid fluctuations in blood glucose and insulin concentrations are best avoided owing to their deleterious effects on appetite/satiety, mood and fat metabolism.
Arginine matrix: ARG Complex is formed when the amino acid Arginine and alpha-Ketogluterate are combined to form a single molecule. This molecule is involved in amino acid and protein synthesis, glucose uptake and improved muscle power output. ARG complex promotes increased nitric oxide (NO) production increasing blood flow to muscle cells. This leads to rapid delivery of oxygen and nutrients to muscle tissue creating an anabolic environment, increasing strength, power and muscle growth.
ALCAR matrix: The biochemical events that result from intense exercise can lead to a breakdown in muscle tissue (catabolism) and an increase in free radicals from the up regulation of energy metabolism. Various inflammatory reactions can occur which result in damage to cell membranes and muscle tissue which lead to increased in biomarkers of cellular damage. By supplementing with l-carnitine supplements recovery can be enhanced due to reduced levels of free radical production and muscle fibre damage. For best results, depending on your goals and training intensity, take one serving (1 serving = 80 g or 2 scoops) in 500 mL of water immediately after your training session followed by an appropriate nutrition strategy in the next 2 to 4 hours. If other food sources are not available take another serving of RecoverAce® Strength 2 hours later. Intake guidelines are based on the recovery requirements of a 70 kg individual completing moderate intensity resistance training sessions, serving size may be scaled-up or scaled-down depending on your body mass and training intensity.
For best mixing results, the water should be poured into the shaker before adding the powder serving.
